Beautiful Twilight

Dec 2010 052

It lasts only a short time every day. That time when the lights of the tree and the shrubbery around the porch illuminate our slowly darkening world. The moon rises with warmth in the eastern expanse of lavender blue.

Perhaps the most peaceful hour of the day. Enjoy it for the few moments it lasts.

Good-Bye Day! See you again on the Morrow.

I love how the day begins to signal it close with the wild vivid colors of sunset hurring us along on our final evening outside chores, then moving to the cool subdue colors of twilight just before we say adieu to the day and welcome the restful peaceful dark of winter evenings, a time to put down our work, relax or welcome in long awaited guests.

Hi Rebecca nice photo of the twilight on what is as you say a peaceful time of day. As i write this it is shining brightly hear in England tonight . Incidentally on the 21st of this month we had a total eclipse of the moon just around breakfast time and it was a bright clear morning so we could watch it from start to finish. It will be Christmas Day in a very few hours over here and I hope that it is just as special for you as it will be for us. Happy Christmas to you all james
